WYPI – World Youth Press Institute is an international apolitical project launched in October 2017 by a dozen students. Today, the project counts 150 young people from all over the world. The association aims to develop, defend and enhance the freedom of expression of young people around the world (journalistic or artistic freedom, and any other project related to freedom of expression). It tends to have a role both in the field with young people from around the world (creation of antennas, help with the creation of projects, events …) but also with international bodies to advocate for the rights of young people. Today specialized in the creation of international events, the NGO aims to launch an international newspaper in 2020 and a think tank in 2022.
Our goals ?
- Develop youth initiative projects with journalistic or artistic values
- Support these projects before & during creation
- Protecting young people invested in such projects
- Raise awareness of freedom of expression
- Internationalize the status of young journalist
- Gather young people from all over the world
Our events ?
The J3 (Jungle Journalists Juice)
It is an international event that brings together young people from all over the world. WYPI produces six per year (one in each region of the world). The purpose of this event? We give you a theme, you transform it! In a day, you give free rein to your thinking and creativity to create on this topic reportage, videos, drawings, articles, but why not also dances, sittings, songs … and other means of expression to which we would not have thought ! All your achievements will then be presented on a blog connected to our site and that the antennas will continue to feed regularly.
In 2019, WYPI done (or is doing) 5 J3 : in Lebanon, UK, South Korea, India and Honduras.
WY’Not

It rewards both journalistic (web media, student newspaper, young photographer or caricaturist, radio …) and artistic projects (live shows, young author …). The competition is open from March to July and concerns all young people between 11 and 26 years old.

On the agenda: workshops, conferences, round tables, moments of discussion and meetings but also the WY’Not awards ceremony, the annual report of the association and the election of the International Bureau.
